Susan Rotham had a dream, to rid the world of hunger, not through humanitarian aid, but by developing an air plant/super vegetable that wouldn't require water, or soil to thrive. To achieve her dream she needs the help of Dr. Robin Mallory, one of the world's foremost authorities on the Tillandsias air plant species. Susan didn't anticipate the attraction between them, the risk to their lives, and the steps America would take to prevent such a plant from existing. However, her greatest miscalculation, the underestimation of the transgenic plant's ability to adapt, will change the world in unintended and unimaginable ways.
This album is a departure from my earlier works as it consists of a jazz/fusion trio of drums/bass pedals, acoustic electric nylon string guitar and the Monolith. This album was composed mostly on guitar. I am playing all the instruments.
Here is a 2020 performance of Dance No. 4.
Here is a 2019 performance of Dance No. 1.
Here is the latest fusion experiment from the Duringer laboratory, Dance No. 5 - further evidence for natural selection to favor the multitimbral keyboard. As always, I use only 1 synth, K2000RS, and all synth parts are performed simultaneously - strictly by manual fingering.
